The signal strength of my wireless connection is typically low and sometimes disconnects. Why is that and what can I do about that?

Here's a really good article that covers the typical causes of poor wireless signal strength and how to address them. The article referred to here would be better if it included an item on what to do if the poor wireless signal issue is proving too difficult to resolve. There is another possible option which involves the use of powerline networking as an alternative to WiFi. Using powerline network adapters has worked for me in several unexpectedly tricky situations. Here's a link to a good powerline network adapter that I'm happy to endorse.
